朱平,社会企业家;
Tom Carter,摄影师;
张振辉,建筑师,雷励中国理事;
Filip Noubel, Internews 中国区主任;
Jon Philips (方力中),自由软件程序员、艺术家;

Dear TEDsters,
Thanks for signing up for the inaugural TEDxGuangzhou conference. We are most excited to bring out this “Brain Spa” for all of you at the Guangdong Science Center.
This is a unique gathering of its kind, a meeting of curious souls, of serendipity and of clash between the reality and the imaginative. This is TEDxGuangzhou! You will be meeting all kinds of interesting people here. Some of them are doing amazing things you might never hear of before. Scientists, artists, architects, poets, designers and coders… all gather in one room, to share their ideas and stories.
The theme of TEDxGuangzhou is “The Fabric of Imagination”. As the famous physist Albert Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” We all experienced childhood days, when most of us would long for a better world. But we somehow lost that. In this conference, we will try to reclaim it, through stories and shared experiences.
Speakers at TEDxGuangzhou include:
Ping Chu, eco-innovator from Taiwan;
Tom Carter, award-winning photographer;
Zhang Hai Hua, consultant in cross cultural communications;
Filip Noubel, Internews China Director;
Jon Philips, digital artist, free culture advocate;
Xiao Qing Yang, Grammy Award nominee for album cover design;
Mai Rong Hao, vanguard in independent theater;
Tom Stader, founder of The Library Project;
Chen Xiao Hong, low-carbon economy pioneer;
Zhang Zhen Hui, architect & board member, Raleigh China.
Jose A. Rueda, entreprenuer, game designer;
Deng Ya Jun, Forensic DNA identification expert;

We can’t wait to meet you all at the science center this weekend. And even if you ccan’t make it to the venue yourself, you can still watch the whole event online. Here is the link to the live webcast. It will go live as the event starts. Stay tuned for more event updates.
Thank you all for registering.
Best regards, Tony Yet
